LUNGBURNER
LungBurner is an independent heavy music collective formed in Athens in 2023 and now based in Atlanta. Guitarist and vocalist Jens Anderberg, guitarist Joseph Mills, and bassist Joshua Broughton blend psychedelic post-sludge, stoner and doom metal, progressive songwriting, and atmospheric electronics.
The group released two full-length albums during its first year: Embers in January 2024 and Natura Duale that September. Natura Duale reached No. 32 on the Doom Charts and appeared on year-end lists from Weedian, Monster Riff, and Rob Hammer. That early momentum carried LungBurner throughout the Southeast, including a 2025 tour with False Gods and appearances at Tampa Doom & Gloom Fest, Seismic Fest, ATL Doom Fest, Stoned Riff Revival, AthFest, and other regional festivals.
LungBurner later headlined Doomed and Stoned Fest in Asheville and opened for Baroness during its 2025 Atlanta New Year’s Eve residency.
Following a 2026 run through Texas with Hot Ram, the band returned to Atlanta for the release of its third album.
Dogma was released through Terminus Hate City on April 17, 2026. The seven-song record brings southern sludge and doom together with progressive arrangements, industrial textures, and atmospheric electronics. Written, recorded, and produced entirely by the band, Dogma examines religion, culture, identity, and the influence of inherited belief systems. LungBurner celebrated its release at 529 alongside DayGlo Mourning, Dead Vibes Ensemble, Hot Ram, and Cheap Cigar.
